Ce mois d’avril qui tire à sa fin n’a pas su choisir entre canicule et fortes gelées nocturnes. Par conséquent il nous a balancé les deux. Difficile de gérer pour les jardiniers mais malgré ma consternation à propos de ces bizarreries climatiques j’ai passé de très agréables moments au jardin. The month of April is drawing to an end after heatwaves and drought but also deep frost. Complicated for gardeners and worrying for everyone but I did have some very pleasant times in the garden.

Beaucoup de blanc au jardin en avril. Ici une belle contraste entre l’Exochorda The Bride et le Physocarpus Diable d’Or juste derrière à sa droite. April had quite a lot of white blooms. Here Exochorda The Bride contrasts nicely with Physocarpus Diable d’Or peeping over its shoulder.
Un flirt prononcé entre un autre physocarpus, Little Devil et la même jeune mariée. Here the same Bride is flirting outrageously with another physocarpus : Little Devil
L’Arabis Ferdinand-Coburgi a mis du temps à s’installer mais cette année ses belles fleurs sont montées sur d’élégantes tiges pour saluer les feuilles du rosier Little White Pet. The Arabis Ferdinand-Coburgi has at long last sent up some elegant flowers to mingle with the foliage of the rose Little White Pet
Les fleurs blanches du lunaria alba s’imposent pour illuminer le massif du pommier. Une nouveauté cette année issue des graines reçues au SOL. The Lunaria Alba’s white flowers tower over other plants to illuminate the apple tree border. New to the garden thanks to the Seeds of Love

La photo suivante j’avais prise pour le papillon mais en regardant de plus près il me semble que le papillon est en compagnie d’une araignée blanche. The next photo was taken for the butterfly but on further inspection I noticed the white spider
Apprécie-t-il ou non cette proximité? That is the question. Whether the butterfly appreciates sharing the photo with this spider is open to question!
